The Eden Plus City Council adopted Ordinance 2841 on July 13, approving the city's first budget amendment for 2026.
Finance Director Kristen Reed told the council that between readings she added a $35,000 transfer to pay for two digital reader boards, to be charged to the street fund and split among funds per the city's IT budget allocation. She also noted that the amendment reduces Fund 35 (Facilities Fund) below the city's reserve policy.
Committee members said the committee supported the amendment and moved approval on second reading; council approved the ordinance by voice vote. City staff said the transfer was a one-time adjustment to fund the reader boards and that the finance director remains available to answer follow-up questions.
Council did not record a roll-call tally in the meeting minutes; the motion passed by voice vote.
