At the July 9, 2026 meeting, the post‑evaluation team debated and moved to clarify the process for placing items on the FY 2026‑27 watch list and the county's future forecast tracker.
The Chair said the board had grown "a little relaxed" about how items were added and proposed returning to a prior practice that additions to the watch list require submission of a formal agenda item in advance to the clerk's office. "I think we need to get back to the process of if you have something that you want to put on the watch list, be sure and get it to the clerk's office," the Chair said, arguing that an agenda item makes funding considerations clearer and more transparent.
Legal and committee members present agreed that operating with a formal agenda item improves clarity; the Chair said he would reintroduce forms and bring the topic back to a future BET meeting.
Following that discussion, the board took two voice votes. Members voted to remove the behavioral care center FY '27 item from the future forecast tracker on the grounds that it already appears on the FY '27 watch list. They also moved and approved the removal of the GIS item from the future forecast tracker. Both motions passed by voice vote; the record shows "Aye" for both actions but does not list individual roll‑call tallies.
The Chair closed the meeting after brief board comments and a motion to adjourn. No public commenters had signed up for this session.
