The Sheboygan County Human Resources Committee on Feb. 10 approved a series of personnel actions across county departments and received an update on Human Resources operations.
Transportation Department Director Bryan Olson asked the committee to approve a change to his department’s Table of Organization; Supervisor Char Nennig moved to approve the change, Supervisor Christian Ellis seconded, and the motion carried. Health & Human Services Director Matt Strittmater requested a separate change to his department’s Table of Organization and a promotion. The Table of Organization change was approved on a motion by Supervisor Christian Ellis, seconded by Supervisor Tom Wegner; the promotion was approved on a motion by Supervisor Carl Nonhof, seconded by Supervisor Tom Wegner. Building Services Director Kevin Dulmes requested a pay-exception to hire above the midpoint; Supervisor Tom Wegner moved approval, Supervisor Carl Nonhof seconded, and the motion carried. The Building Services pay-exception was recorded as contingent on Property Committee approval. Finance Director Steve Hatton requested a change to the Finance Department Table of Organization; the committee approved that change on a motion by Supervisor Tom Wegner, seconded by Supervisor Carl Nonhof, with the action noted as contingent on Finance Committee approval.
Human Resources Director Dave Loomis gave a departmental update emphasizing several ongoing programs: usage of the county’s InHealth Clinic, the department’s annual report, progress on a Compensation Study, and work on the Tyler Project. Loomis also recognized Brooke Industries and SourceAmerica for assisting in securing a device to help an employee with donning and doffing gloves.
The committee approved vouchers on a motion by Supervisor Tom Wegner, seconded by Supervisor Char Nennig. The committee set its next meeting for March 10, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. in Room 302 of the Administration Building, 508 New York Ave., Sheboygan. Supervisor Christian Ellis moved to adjourn; Supervisor Char Nennig seconded and the meeting adjourned at 3:28 p.m.
