Board extends President Katherine A. Rowe’s contract through June 30, 2028

The Board of Visitors voted on Nov. 19 to extend President Katherine A. Rowe’s contract through June 30, 2028, and authorized the Rector to finalize contract terms consistent with closed-session discussion.

Rector John E. Littel moved the extension and Ms. Lisa E. Roday seconded. The motion was approved unanimously by voice vote following the Board’s closed-session consideration of presidential contracts; the Board had certified after reconvening that only matters exempted under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act were discussed in closed session.

The motion authorized the Rector to finalize terms consistent with the closed-session discussion and to execute the agreement once finalized. No additional financial terms were specified in the public minutes.
