Woodbridge board adopts superintendent's agenda, committee recommendations and lists several RFPs

The Woodbridge Township Board of Education on June 8 approved the superintendent's agenda and a slate of committee recommendations, and the board secretary announced multiple requests for proposals for next school-year services.

The motions adopted included the superintendent's 14-item agenda and separate approvals from the curriculum, finance and insurance, dining and transportation, and personnel committees. Board president put each recommendation to a roll-call vote; the board secretary recorded members as voting in the affirmative on the listed agendas. The finance and insurance roll call included recorded abstentions on specific item numbers during the vote for the record.

Board secretary read notices that the district received several RFPs: RFP 2702 (elementary language-arts coaching and consulting services), RFP 2703 (aftercare program services), RFP 2704 (math, MTSS intervention, instructional coaching and professional development), RFP 2705 (comprehensive cloud-based educational software platform and related services) and RFP 2706 (athletic streaming services). Dr. Massimino presented the superintendent's monthly reports for May, including student registers, fire drill and suspension reports and attendance officer reports.

According to the roll calls read into the record, members identified on the roll call included Miss Anderson, Mister Coughlin, Mister De LaPietro, Mister Mohammed, Miss Perez, Mister Trebwasser and Miss Borden. Where members recorded abstentions during the finance committee vote, those abstentions were entered for specific agenda item numbers as part of the roll-call answers.

The meeting record shows the board gave unanimous or majority approval to the presented agendas and committee recommendations and that procurement notices will be processed according to district procedures. The meeting proceeded to a public-comment period after board business and later adjourned.
