Dover Board of Appeals authorizes chair to finalize proposed appeal regulations for Chapter 266

The Dover Board of Appeals on July 9 reviewed a redlined draft of proposed appeal regulations that board members discussed at their May 7 meeting and that included edits recommended by Town Counsel and the Town Clerk.

Chairman George Chimento said the next step would be to send the draft to the Town Manager, Mike Blanchard, and coordinate with Town Counsel to complete the process needed to adopt the regulations as a new Chapter 266 of the Town Bylaws. The Board suggested no further substantive edits to the redlined version and unanimously voted to authorize Mr. Chimento to proceed.

Chimento said the process would include another advertised public meeting so that interested residents could attend and comment before the regulations are finalized. The Board recorded the authorization as part of its administrative matters for the evening.
