Commissioner Aaron Keiser moved and Commissioner Tom Richard seconded several finance-related actions that the board approved unanimously.
The board approved opening a new Imprest Account to simplify reconciling activity dating back to December 2022; Deputy Clerk Christina Collier said auditors had reviewed and approved the recommendation. The board also approved adding Clerk Assistant Misty Tyson to the new Imprest Account.
Commissioners approved the annual road grader repayment to the Inheritance Tax Fund in the amount of $36,000 for the 2025–2026 year. They accepted Andrews Landscaping’s reduced bid of $500 for courthouse tree trimming, down from an earlier $1,200 bid.
Contractor Dan Wilkens of Wilkens Construction presented a Phase 2 (final phase) bid for the Communication Center/Jail remodel of $12,142.86 covering an automatic unlocking door, window protection, booking-area backsplash, entryway floor covering and break-room work; commissioners toured the communication center during the meeting. Wilkens also reported water damage to the annex and said he was awaiting an insurance adjuster’s contact.
Routine county claims and vendor payments were reviewed and approved as part of the meeting.
