Select Board approves business DBA change, deed acceptance, schedule and routine warrants

At its May 19 meeting the Select Board approved several routine items after brief staff confirmations.

Business license: The board approved a change of DBA for Wild Duck Wine and Spirits to Tri Town Liquors Fine Wine Beer at 100 Washington Street; town staff confirmed the paperwork was in order.

Land conveyance: The board voted to accept deeds conveying Lot 8D from Canton Holdings to the town after being informed the parcel had been recommended for acceptance by the town committee handling the matter.

Meeting schedule: The board approved its meeting schedule for July through December 2026 but noted the November 3 date conflicted with an election and will be amended.

Gifts, permits and warrants: The board accepted donations to the Department of Elder and Human Services (including a $1,000 gift and several memorial gifts totaling $600), approved a one-day entertainment permit for June 13 (subject to building, police and fire approvals), and acknowledged vendor and payroll warrant totals presented during the meeting.

Cemetery items and minutes: The board approved cemetery commitments totaling $5,687.50, accepted perpetual care deeds, and approved minutes from April 28 and May 11, 2026.
