Weekend heat advisory for parts of Arkansas; storms possible after cold front

A broadcaster warned listeners Saturday of a heat advisory in parts of the Arkansas River Valley and in central and east-central Arkansas through 8 p.m., with heat indices potentially reaching about 108 degrees. The presenter said a cold front expected later in the evening and overnight could trigger strong to severe storms across northern parts of the state, including portions of the Little Rock metro area.
