Select Board approves SIRU restaurant all‑alcohol license, contingent on manager fingerprinting

At a public hearing on July 8, the Select Board approved an application by JXCS Natick Corp, doing business as SIRU, for an S‑12 all‑alcohol on‑premises restaurant license for 45 East Central St., Unit 1. Applicants Jack Tsai and Orianna (the proposed general manager) described the business as a casual fine Japanese dining restaurant with 68 indoor seats and 31 outdoor seats; they estimated a targeted opening in September–October, dependent on construction timelines.

The board opened the hearing, invited public questions (none were raised by members of the public in attendance), and then moved to approve the license. Ms. Wolschlager moved approval and the motion included a contingency that the manager be fingerprinted at the Natick Police Department; the board approved by roll call (unanimous). Staff indicated permits and other licenses on the consent agenda would be voted later in the meeting.

There was no formal opposition expressed at the hearing; the board congratulated the applicants and reserved remaining license votes for the consent agenda.
