Radford Electoral Board delegates August primary poll-worker assignments to registrar

At a July 6 meeting, the City of Radford Electoral Board unanimously delegated to Lindsey Williams, the city’s director of elections and general registrar, the authority to assign officers for the August primary election.

Williams told the board that early voting is underway for the August primary. Vice Chairman Charles Stewart moved that the board delegate assignment of officers to the general registrar; Chairman Chris Quesenberry seconded the motion, and the board approved it unanimously.

The delegation formally allows Williams to finalize poll-worker rostering and scheduling for the upcoming primary without returning to the board for individual approvals. Board members also reviewed and approved the minutes from the June 16, 2026 meeting earlier in the session.

The board adjourned at 3:55 p.m. following the day’s business.
