Avon council approves consent agenda, board nominees and two county road transfers

Avon Town Council approved a slate of routine items and two road-transfer resolutions at its July 9 meeting, keeping the town's summer work program and administrative matters on schedule.

The council unanimously approved the consent agenda, including the July 9 check register, June 25 executive session memoranda, the June 25 meeting minutes and a waiver of conflict of interest. The motions were made by Councilman Jayson Puckett and seconded by Robert Pope; each item passed on a 4-0 roll call vote.

Ryan Cannon presented nominees for the Recreation Impact Fee Advisory Board; the council approved the appointments on a motion by Steve Eisenbarth that Jayson Puckett seconded. Later in the meeting the council approved two resolutions involving county road transfers. Resolution 2026-19, a memorandum of agreement to transfer County Road 525 East, passed after presentation by Ryan Cannon and a motion by Puckett that Robert Pope seconded. Resolution 2026-20, accepting the relinquishment of a portion of County Road 100 South, passed on a motion by Eisenbarth seconded by Puckett. Both resolutions passed 4-0.

All recorded votes on the motions were 4-0 in favor. Council members present and voting were Dawn Lowden (president), Jayson Puckett (vice president), Robert Pope and Steve Eisenbarth.

The council scheduled its next meeting for July 23, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. There were no contested or deferred motions reported during the session.
