Council reviews $35,000 engineering contract for 2026 local paving program

Service Director Brad Baker asked council to authorize the City Manager to enter an agreement with the Kleingers Group for professional engineering services for the City of Trenton’s 2026 Local Paving Program at a total cost of $35,000. Mr. Baker identified confirmed streets in the program (John Street from State Street to West Roger; Brillford from West Roger to West Aberdeen; and work in Community Park) and two alternate streets that could be added (Greenwood from North Miami to Westview Avenue and East Roger from North Miami to East Aberdeen). He said the project includes roadway work, concrete replacement, curb and sidewalk repairs, ADA upgrades and several driveway aprons.

Councilman Nichols asked whether a list of roads was available and asked about mileage; Mr. Baker said the list was in the materials and noted the project involves substantial work on wider streets that will include concrete replacement and ADA improvements.
