Richland council approves consent calendar, including easement relinquishment for a plat

Richland City Council unanimously approved the consent calendar at its July 7 meeting. Items enacted included approval of the June 16 regular meeting minutes, a change order with Apollo Inc. for Horn Rapids landfill Phase 2b, consultant agreements for wastewater planning and wayfinding, a solar site power purchase agreement, an interagency agreement with the Washington State Department of Ecology on behalf of Hanford Communities, and several board/commission appointments.

Among items in the consent calendar was Resolution 202693, which declares surplus and authorizes relinquishment of portions of two "no access" easements within Parcels 1 and 2 of record survey number 6256. Public Works Director Delisandro explained the easement change is necessary to move a secondary emergency-vehicle-access easement approximately 10 feet so the plat can meet fire-code access requirements; staff confirmed the relinquishment and replacement easements will be applied simultaneously on the plat. Council approved the resolution by unanimous vote as part of the consent calendar.

Votes were taken by roll call with all members voting in the affirmative for the consent calendar items.
