Committee member previews weekly calendar; Lake County Rodeo set for Friday and Saturday

A committee member outlined personal and official commitments for the coming days and promoted community events, including the Lake County Rodeo.

“I have tomorrow. I get to spend the morning on the ranch with some kids, and then I have an energy ad hoc committee meeting and an animal control advisory committee,” the committee member said. They also listed Thursday’s Lake County recreation and “math meetings” and said the Lake County Rodeo — described in remarks as the county’s 96th annual rodeo — will be at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. and the rodeo starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The speaker said they planned to spend part of the rest of the weekend and the following Monday preparing the Board agenda and researching projects. The chair then thanked the speaker and invited the vice chair to report; the vice chair said they would not disclose travel plans for safety reasons and noted they had been ill the prior week. The chair closed the reports by listing several committee meetings on the schedule (animal control, mental health, municipal council) and concluded the reports segment.
