Council schedules more briefings on Stadium Trace Village development and votes to enter executive session on potential litigation

City staff told the Hoover City Council that a red-lined development agreement with Broad Metro LLC for Stadium Trace Village phases 2 and 3 is in council packets and that the council should expect additional presentations from staff and the developer, including engineers and consultants, at a meeting on Monday.

"There'll be additional presentations on Monday, both from myself, staff, and, the developer, and their engineers and consultants," Munger said, noting that each council member should have a copy of the agreement and the red line in their packet.

A council member asked how close Broad Metro's property line would come to Brock Scott Parkway and what vegetation buffers the developer would leave between the parkway and the property. Planning staff (Martin) said he had not yet seen a full design for that section but believed the developer intended to leave natural features and trees between the road, the lake and nearby neighborhoods; staff agreed to forward the question to the developer so they could be prepared to answer Monday.

Later in the meeting, staff requested — and the council approved by roll-call vote — moving into an executive session to discuss a potential litigation matter under the Open Meetings Act. Miss Dickerson called the roll; the recorded responses were six "Aye" votes and the council adjourned to a work session.

The transcript did not record a substantive vote on the development agreement itself; staff said formal consideration and additional presentations are scheduled for Monday.
