Council approves Banyon Software switch; ACH autopays paused for about two months

On July 7 the Early City Council approved accepting a bid to purchase Banyon Software for city office operations. Councilmember Cory Tiefenthaler moved to accept the bid and Brian Pickhinke seconded; the motion carried.

City Clerk Julia Drost told the council that the goal would be to make the switch in September and that for approximately two months ACH autopayments would be paused during the transition to avoid duplicate pulls. She said there would be some closed office hours for staff training and data updates and that the times would be posted for residents.

The clerk also said notice would go to residents informing them the autopay option will be unavailable during the migration period. The council did not specify additional financial terms or contracts beyond accepting the bid.
