Pendleton County plans to buy two used ambulances; commissioners request monthly 911 call logs

Diana Mitchell, the county 911 director, reported there was nothing new to report but Commission Carl Hevener asked that 911 call logs be delivered monthly without identifying information so the commission can monitor activity.

Rick Gillespie, the county’s emergency services coordinator, told the commission the county recently conducted a workshop exercise with the U.S. Forest Service to test communication procedures; he said the State Director of Emergency Management attended and complimented the county’s setup.

Mike Alt reported the county has received no update from the state on potential EMS Salary Enhancement funding and said the county plans to purchase two used ambulances to meet operational needs for the next 24 months until a new ambulance can be purchased.
