Dustin Carter, Castle Dale’s Code Enforcer and animal-control officer, reported 12 service calls between May 15 and June 11.
Carter said officers trapped five feral cats and one kitten; all were taken to the pound. One citation was issued for two dogs at large and public nuisance after an earlier warning. He said four dogs were impounded and six warnings (written and verbal) were issued for off-leash or unlicensed dogs and other nuisances. One resident paid required fees to come into compliance.
Carter also reported four escaped cows at Emery Animal Health and one escaped cow at the fairgrounds during the kid’s rodeo; all animals were found and returned safely. Carter noted increased patrols near Cheddar Field and the BMX track and a warning issued to an individual riding an e-bike in traffic without a helmet.
The report was entered for the record; no formal council action was required.
