The Delaware County Board of Commissioners on July 9 recognized Lieutenant Brad Fisher, who retired after more than 31 years with the county's Emergency Medical Services.
Jeff Fischel, director of EMS, detailed Fisher's hiring date (April 17, 1995), career progression to lieutenant and his role mentoring new members of the department. Assistant Chief Jeremy Miller presented Fisher with a flag flown over Station 8 and recounted Fisher's work ethic, including his taking calls on his final day.
Fisher addressed the board, thanked colleagues and said he looks forward to spending more time with family. Commissioners presented a signed proclamation and invited staff to photograph the group.
The board did not vote on the proclamation but acknowledged Fisher's service and praised the county's EMS system.
