The Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi board held its annual organization meeting on July 6, electing officers, swearing in newly elected trustees and setting committee assignments for the year.
At the start of the meeting the presiding moderator called for nominations for president of the board for the 2026–27 year; nominees were put forward and approved by voice vote. A subsequent nomination and vote installed Lauren Recker as vice president after a motion and second. The district clerk, Alisa Koloski, administered the oath of office to new trustees Kim Shepherd and Hope Knapp and to the newly elected president and vice president; the clerk led the combined oath so all four sworn officials could recite the pledge together.
The board approved a consent agenda of routine appointments including the school physician and the CTE advisory council, and it designated the district's official newspapers. Members discussed committee assignments and agreed to keep committees unchanged for continuity while encouraging members to coordinate attendance through the district clerk. Board members asked staff to circulate a full calendar and to follow up with committee meeting dates and retreat options targeted for late August.
The board recessed briefly for a short executive session on scholarship matters (no action taken) and returned to open session to continue organizational business. The meeting concluded with the board confirming the draft meeting schedule and announcing a tentative next regular meeting on Monday, Aug. 24, with an anticipated executive session at 5 p.m. and open session to follow.
The moderator closed the organizational portion of the meeting and called the regular session to order at 6:34 p.m.
