Hampden planning board approves Alexander Landscaping garage with stormwater condition

The Hampden Planning Board on July 8 voted to approve a major site plan allowing Alexander Professional Landscaping to build a 35‑by‑35‑foot metal building at 38 Edings Way for equipment and trucks, subject to a signed post‑construction stormwater management contract.

The approval came after a brief presentation from applicant Eric Alexander, who said the new structure would better accommodate his landscaping business. Amy, a town staff member, told the board the application met ordinance requirements except for the required post‑construction stormwater document.

“The lot is currently used for storing my equipment and my trucks; this is to better suit our landscaping business,” applicant Eric Alexander said when presenting the proposal.
