Pasadena schedules July 15 outreach for Jefferson Park stormwater capture feasibility study

The City of Pasadena invited residents to a final community outreach event for the Jefferson Park stormwater capture feasibility study on July 15 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Jefferson Branch Library, the Rose City Report said. Attendees can review updated park designs and provide feedback on proposed improvements that include stormwater capture infrastructure and expanded green and recreation space.

City officials said the study is supported by a Los Angeles County Safe Clean Water Program grant and emphasized that community input will play a central role in planning. "The event will take place on July 15 from 10AM to noon at the Jefferson branch library, where community members can review updated park designs and provide feedback on the proposed improvements," Abigail Montopoli said.

Officials described features the study will explore: new stormwater capture infrastructure, expanded green space, recreation areas, outdoor classrooms and other park enhancements. The report noted this is the final opportunity for residents to help shape the future vision for Jefferson Park and encouraged participation; no specific follow-up timeline for design decisions was provided.
