Construction began June 15, 2026 on the Brenner Park Playground Improvements Project, with the City of Pasadena estimating completion in September 2026, the Rose City Report said. Planned improvements include new age-appropriate play equipment, rubberized safety surfacing, upgraded site furnishings, accessibility enhancements and new shade structures. The bulletin said the playground design reflects community input received during planning, including strong support for creating a play area in a more central and accessible location within the park. "The new playground will provide an inviting space where children and families can gather, play and connect," Abigail Montopoli said.
