Airport rep reports Young Eagles pancake breakfast, FAA delay on master plan and upcoming hangar lease renewal

Leslie, the airport representative, briefed the committee on airport activities and administrative items, including events and a pending lease renewal.

"This Sunday, July 12, the Young Eagles [pancake] breakfast" was scheduled, Leslie said, noting proceeds support the cadet program and that participation and local donations have recently increased. Leslie also reported that the airport master plan is still on the FAA’s desk with no clear timeline for action.

The airport representative asked the committee to place a hangar lease that is coming up for a 30‑year renewal in September on a future agenda for discussion; members agreed to add the hangar renewal to the August or September agenda so staff can prepare documentation.

Leslie also noted contract and equipment items that may need committee attention later — including a potentially expiring contract for snow‑removal services and a new piece of equipment that could help with brushing operations — and urged staff coordination ahead of fall and winter planning. No formal board action was taken on airport items at the meeting.
