Lebanon Committee approves fee and permit fees ordinances, multiple resolutions including DOT grants and fire equipment

Lebanon Township’s committee used its July 8 meeting to process a package of ordinances and resolutions that the clerk read and the committee moved to adopt.

Ordinances adopted included updates to the municipal fee schedule (Ordinance 08‑2026) and permit and certificate fees (Ordinance 09‑2026). The committee also introduced Ordinance 11‑2026 (disabled‑veterans tax exemption) and scheduled a public hearing for August 12, 2026; the public hearing on a comprehensive stormwater management ordinance (Ordinance 05‑2026) was adjourned to August 12 pending NJDEP rulemaking.

On resolutions, the committee authorized submission and execution of grant contracts with the New Jersey Department of Transportation for the Spruce Run and Hickory Run road resurfacing projects (Resolutions 108‑2026 and 109‑2026), approved the purchase of two MTS power‑load EMS cot loading systems from Stryker under a cooperative contract for the fire department (Resolution 110‑2026), and awarded an oil‑and‑chip program contract for township roads to Asphalt Paving Systems Inc (Resolution 111‑2026).

The committee also adopted Resolution 112‑2026 renewing liquor licenses for the 2026–2027 licensing term, and a string of administrative resolutions authorizing tax‑overpayment refunds, municipal lien redemptions and escrow refunds (Resolutions 114–121 series). The committee adopted Resolution 122‑2026 authorizing payment of bills and claims for a total of $2,074,994.82; members asked clarifying questions about an insurance claim related to a stone wall on Hollow Road and received liaison follow‑up on the completed repair.

Motions were moved and seconded, and roll‑call votes were recorded for each adoption. No major opposition was recorded on the package votes presented at the meeting.
