Henderson County Fiscal Court approves pay ranges for detention center employees

Henderson County Fiscal Court on July 7, 2026 approved Resolution 26-20 to establish pay ranges for detention center employees.

County Judge/Executive Brad Schneider opened the special called meeting at 10:00 a.m. at the Henderson County Courthouse. After roll call confirmed Magistrates Berry, Starks, Tompkins, Puttman and Southard were present, Judge Schneider asked the court to enter executive session to discuss a possible litigation matter under Kentucky Revised Statute KRS 61.810(1)(c). Magistrate Puttman moved to enter executive session, Magistrate Berry seconded, and a voice vote carried. The executive session lasted approximately one hour and 26 minutes before Magistrate Puttman moved to return to the regular session; Magistrate Southard seconded and the court voted to resume the public meeting.

Following the executive session the court took up Resolution 26-20. Fiscal Court Clerk Angela Fungla Comer Care read the resolution into the record. Judge Schneider explained that Anthony Willett became jailer on July 1, 2026 and that Willett had requested an update to the Detention Center’s pay structure. Magistrate Puttman moved to approve the resolution; Magistrate Starks seconded. A voice vote was held with all voting in favor and the motion carried.
