The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners on July 7 proclaimed July 19–25, 2026, as Pretrial Probation and Parole Supervision Week and recognized county Community Corrections and Adult Probation staff for their service.
The County Clerk read the proclamation into the record. Jeff Kilpatrick, Community Corrections Director, thanked the Board and noted that 2026 marks the 26th annual observance of the nationally recognized week established in 1999. Kilpatrick introduced Caitlin Ossian, Pretrial Services Supervisor, and other members of the Pretrial Services staff; the recognitions highlighted staff roles in supervision and community safety.
Chief Probation Officer Jeff Curry thanked the Board for partnership and particularly noted recent collaborative efforts related to drug-testing facilities and ongoing coordination between Adult Probation and Community Corrections. The Board expressed appreciation for that partnership and for the agencies’ role in supporting public safety and community services.
The proclamation was approved by motion and carried 5-0. The Clerk’s reading and staff introductions were entered into the record; no further formal action was requested other than adoption of the proclamation.
