Cherokee County honors employees at quarterly service-awards presentation

The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners opened its July 7, 2026 work session with the county's quarterly service-awards presentation. HR Director Kathy Lambert introduced recipients and read the names of county employees who reached service milestones in the second quarter of 2026, including five‑year, ten‑year, 15‑, 20‑, 25‑ and 30‑year honorees from multiple departments such as Fire/EMS and the Sheriff's Office.

Names announced included (by department and milestone) firefighters and EMS staff, sheriff's deputies and civil‑service employees; HR directed award recipients to a foyer distribution of awards and a photo opportunity. Chair thanked county employees for their service and praised them as the community's essential workforce.
