MSU Extension presents 2025 report; educator to move districts

A Michigan State University Extension representative gave the board an annual report covering 2025 activities, including 13 active 4‑H clubs, expanded special‑interest clubs, volunteer growth, youth programming (shooting sports, babysitting training, animal care) and international exchange participation.

The presenter, identified in discussion as Julie, said digital copies of the report were emailed to staff and will be posted on the MSU Extension website and included with county distribution. She also announced a personnel change: she will move to a neighboring MSU district (District 9) and the county will receive an interim contact until a permanent replacement is named.

Commissioners thanked the presenter for the report and praised MSU Extension’s outreach to youth and community groups. Julie said she will return with the interim person once that person is identified.
