Select Board approves limited film shoot at Lookout Point; restricts vehicle use to boat launch

Diana, the location manager, asked for flexibility to place the car near low-tide flats for photographic effect but said the crew would be small (three to eight vehicles including the picture car) and that extraneous vehicles would be parked off-site. Harbour staff and the harbourmaster expressed concern about vehicles leaving the hard boat ramp onto intertidal flats because of harvesters, the risk of a vehicle becoming stranded and potential fuel spills. The board clarified that its authority covers use of the town landing and approved use of the boat launch; the board did not authorize driving beyond the launch into intertidal areas that likely fall under state jurisdiction. Diana agreed to coordinate with state agencies if necessary, to carry insurance, and to pay a $300 fee. The board asked Diana to confirm the exact shooting date (options discussed: June 30 or July 1) and to coordinate with harbour staff on tides and safety.

The production must provide proof of insurance, pay the fee, and keep the boat launch accessible to the public. Staff will follow up with the production team and post any restrictions or notifications to the town website.
