Glynn County board approves property‑acquisition recommendation after executive session

The Glynn County Board of Commissioners recessed on June 18 for a brief reception and then entered executive session to discuss property acquisition. After returning, the board voted unanimously to approve the recommendation of the director of capital development concerning the acquisition.

The chair made the motion to enter executive session for property acquisition and commissioners voted to recess and later to enter closed session. Upon exit, a motion was made to approve the director's recommendation; the motion passed unanimously. Commissioners did not discuss the details of the property acquisition on the public record at the meeting.

The vote directs staff to proceed in accordance with the director's recommendation; staff will carry out any subsequent ministerial or contractual steps and report back as required under county procedures.
