Jackson approves application for up to $1 million in federal TAP funds for Scott Lane/Maple Way ADA and bike improvements

Jackson — At its July 6 meeting, the Jackson Town Council authorized staff to submit an application to the Wyoming Department of Transportation for Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding of up to $1,000,000 to support Scott Lane/Maple Way bicycle, pedestrian and ADA improvements.

Brian Schilling, the town’s Pathways Coordinator, told council the project has previously received TAP planning funding and that the current application (due July 15) seeks construction funding. Schilling said the project aligns with the TAP program and with earlier planning; the town would provide a roughly 9.51% local match from prior allocations and other town funding sources if selected. He noted a prior planning grant created a 10‑year delivery clock that requires project completion by 2030 unless funds are repaid.

Councilor Spears moved to approve Resolution 26‑13 to submit the TAP application; Councilor Regan seconded. The council approved the motion unanimously.
