CNHRPC asks Boscawen for more responses to Master Plan vision survey

Mike Tardiff of the Central New Hampshire Regional Planning Commission briefed the Planning Board on the Master Plan Vision Chapter survey and asked for volunteer help to boost responses by approximately 100–125 residents.

Tardiff said early survey responses most often mentioned walkability, mixed uses for Commercial Street, restaurants and smaller‑scale commercial development; some responses also raised King Street traffic concerns and support for corresponding zoning changes. He suggested several outreach methods — a sign in front of the municipal complex, moving the survey link higher on the town website, distributing postcards to local businesses, offering library assistance for residents without home internet access, and staffing a table at Old Home Day.

Board members and staff discussed those outreach options and agreed to coordinate through the PCD office and CNHRPC to broaden participation before the next milestone in the plan process.
