Dubois County to buy Holland dumpster site for $25,000

Commissioner Chad A. Blessinger said the county would acquire the parcel that houses the Holland dumpster site for $25,000 and presented an Agreement for Purchase and Sale of Real Estate for the board's approval. The commissioners voted to approve the purchase and to authorize execution of the purchase agreement.

The meeting minutes record that the motion to approve the land purchase was made, seconded and carried; the transcript does not name the mover or the seconder, nor does it provide a roll-call vote tally. Commissioner Nick Hostetter was absent and is recorded as signing the purchase agreement at a later time.

A second motion authorized Commissioner Blessinger and/or County Auditor Sandra L. Morton to sign closing documents for the transaction; that motion was also made, seconded and carried. The County Attorney prepared the Agreement for Purchase and Sale of Real Estate, according to the minutes.
