Rockland utility board to work with engineer after DNR federal service line inventory found noncompliant

The Rockland Water & Sewer Utility board reported at its March 11 meeting that it was not in compliance with the Wisconsin DNR's Federal Service Line Inventory requirements. Clerk/Treasurer Melody Brueggeman told the board an engineering firm will visit on March 18 to help the utility prepare and file the required inventory information.

The utility also discussed delinquent accounts and confirmed a planned shutoff date of April 15 for customers who remain delinquent. Brueggeman said she consulted the Public Service Commission website and contacted a former clerk to confirm procedures for handling past-due accounts.

The March 18 consultant visit is intended to produce the technical assistance the utility needs to achieve DNR compliance; the minutes do not record the identity of the engineering firm or specific corrective actions to be taken.
