Sherborn committees approve capital plan items including Pine Hill water tank, town hall roof and school roof grant

The Select Board and Advisory Committee reviewed and recommended support for capital warrant articles at the March 21 hearing, endorsing a package of excluded‑debt, Free Cash, and Capital Stabilization projects that together exceed $2 million.

Major excluded‑debt items included a Pine Hill School water supply tank ($506,250) and a Town Hall roof/exterior project ($400,000). Free Cash items included a police vehicle ($75,000), server and computer equipment ($30,000), and other DPW and equipment allocations. Capital Stabilization funding was proposed for multiple design studies at town facilities totaling $125,000. The Advisory Committee moved and passed a favorable recommendation on Articles 10–12 (8–0), and the Select Board previously voted 5–0 in favor.

Article 12 proposes $672,551 toward a high‑school roof and skylight replacement for the Dover‑Sherborn Regional School District (intergovernmental funding arrangement). The committees noted the projects are a mix of immediate maintenance needs and design work to inform future construction phases.
