Consent and personnel highlights for July 8: interim finance director appointment, ambulance purchase, crossing-guard contract

Staff reviewed several consent and administrative items headed to the July 8 commission agenda.

The agenda includes a resolution appointing Priscilla Moxie as the city's Director of Financial Services effective June 24. Staff also noted a purchase to replace a totaled fire-rescue ambulance priced at $566,546, with insurance proceeds covering part of the cost and the remainder to come from fund balance.

Additionally, staff previewed a piggyback agreement with the City of Plantation and Waterfield Florida to provide school crossing-guard services, with a contract amount cited around $565,000 covering roughly 20 to 31 locations. The agenda also contains items to add two charitable entities to the city's approved list.

These items will appear on the consent agenda on July 8 for the commission's consideration.
