Winterset council approves consent agenda, $1.05 million in claims

The Winterset City Council unanimously approved its consent agenda and claims totaling $1,054,282.68 during its July 6, 2026 meeting.

Council Member Michael Eller moved to approve the consent agenda, which included City Council work-session and meeting minutes, board minutes (Parks & Recreation, Tree Commission, Library), a Device Retailer License review for R & R Group, Inc., a Class E retail alcohol renewal for TFL Inc., an ownership amendment and a Special Class B Native Wine License renewal for the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, the Code Enforcement monthly report, and the appointment of Richard Tucker to the Winterset Library Board. Council Member Michael Cook seconded the motion; all council members present voted Aye.

Following the consent agenda vote, Council Member Michael Cook presented and moved approval of claims totaling $1,054,282.68. The council’s roll-call vote was unanimous among members present. The claims docket included detailed line items for police, fire, administration, planning and zoning, economic development TIF rebates, airport appropriation, internal service contracts, roadway maintenance, and a sanitary sewer WWTF pay application of $691,883.57.

The council’s approval allows staff to proceed with payments and the administrative actions reflected in the consent items. No member dissented and there were no public comments during the designated public-comment period.
