District appoints Elsaka as assistant director for bilingual and world languages

The board introduced and welcomed Miss Elsaka as the district’s new assistant director of bilingual education and world languages on July 2.

Superintendent Amy Creedon described Elsaka as a proven leader who has served in the district since 2020, most recently as a dean at the high school, and said her multilingual skills and relationships with families will be an asset. Elsaka addressed the board, saying she is “fully committed to ensuring that every single scholar, no matter what language they speak at home, feels a deep sense of belonging, pride, and infinite potential.”

Trustees and members of the administrative team welcomed Elsaka and noted the importance of strengthening bilingual and world-language programming across the district.
