Centerville Police report rise in June calls, outline staff changes and training plans

The Centerville Police Department reported an increase in June activity and outlined personnel changes and upcoming training. Mike Moore, chief of police, provided the department's monthly figures and highlights.

The department said calls for service rose to 653 in June from 621 in May, and noted 160 traffic stops and 82 written warnings or citations. The report lists 30 misdemeanor or felony charges for June, including nine felonies and four aggravated misdemeanors. The current jail population was reported as 20 as of July 1, 2026, at 7:30 a.m.
