After hearing the details, Selectperson Jack Bridges moved to forward all documentation related to the parcel to Town Attorney Dan Pileggi for legal input and guidance on next steps; Selectperson Carol Lowrie seconded the motion, which passed 5-0. Code Enforcement Officer Kevin Brodie told the board the options include requesting a zone change, holding a public hearing or calling a special town meeting.

Bridges then moved, and Selectperson William (Bill) Birdsall seconded, that the board formally request the Planning Board revisit and consider rezoning the lot in question, identified in town records as Map 218, Lot 036; that motion also passed 5-0. No timetable for a Planning Board review or public hearing was specified at the meeting.

The board did not adopt any zoning change at the meeting; the recorded actions were referrals for legal review and to the Planning Board. The Selectpersons gave no directive to issue permits before resolving the zoning question.
