Milford Center council appoints Emily Davidson to vacant seat after executive session

Mayor Reisinger presented two candidates for the vacant council seat, Emily Davidson and Rick Scott, and both spoke briefly to the council. After discussion, Councilmember Kerry King moved and Councilmember Noah Eubanks seconded a motion to enter executive session to discuss the candidates; the council voted 4-0 to go into executive session and later 4-0 to exit.

Following the executive session, Councilmember Kerry King moved to appoint Emily Davidson to fill the open seat; Councilmember Valerie Merideth seconded and the appointment passed 4-0. The record notes Ms. Davidson will be sworn in at the next council meeting.

The appointment concluded without a recorded roll-call dissent. The council adjourned at the end of the meeting.
