Committee ratifies emergency mowing and broadly renews fleet and maintenance contracts

The Public Works & Infrastructure Committee in DeKalb County approved routine and emergency procurement items, including ratification of an emergency right‑of‑way mowing contract and multiple fleet‑management renewals.

Director McKenna described countywide right‑of‑way mowing and maintenance that had already been completed and asked the committee to ratify a stop‑gap purchase awarded to Russell Landscape LLC (amount listed as not to exceed $123,930). Commissioners approved the ratification.

The committee also exercised first renewal options on several fleet contracts: annual filters (combined vendors; total not to exceed $450,000 through Sept. 30, 2027), annual tire contracts with multiple vendors (transcript-listed total unclear), a large on‑call repair list covering vehicles and equipment (40 vendors; transcript noted approximately $7,550,000), and lubricants contracts (not to exceed $820,000).
