Dubois County approves $25,000 purchase of Holland dumpster site

The Dubois County Commissioners voted at a special meeting June 26 to purchase the parcel containing the Holland dumpster site for $25,000 and authorized county officials to sign the closing documents.

Commissioner Chad A. Blessinger, president, introduced the item and said the County Attorney prepared an Agreement for Purchase and Sale of Real Estate for the transaction. A motion to approve the purchase and authorize signing of the purchase agreement was made, duly seconded and carried; the transcript records that Commissioner Nick Hostetter will sign the agreement at a later time.

A second motion to authorize Commissioner Blessinger and/or County Auditor Sandra L. Morton to sign closing documents was likewise made, duly seconded and carried. The meeting record does not identify who moved or seconded either motion, nor does it include a vote tally.
