ICF highlights workplace sustainability and employee action as a Fairfax County Green Business Partner

An ICF spokesperson said the company prioritizes energy efficiency, proximity to public transit and employee well-being; internal targets were approved by the Science Based Targets initiative and align with near-term 2030 goals. An employee identified on the program as Caroline spoke about commuting by bicycle and participating in volunteer activities such as river cleanups.

ICF representatives said their internal 'crane team' (employee-led volunteer network) grew from grassroots interest and has taken actions ranging from river cleanups to promoting recycling and reducing single-use items at offices. Company speakers framed these practices as part of a broader effort to embed climate action into daily operations and to demonstrate leadership within the county's Green Business Partners network.
