Sparta awards police metal-building bid and authorizes MoDOT grant signature in emergency session

Mayor Jenni Davis called an emergency special legislative session on Feb. 25, 2021 to consider sealed bids for a new metal building at the police range and to authorize signature on a MoDOT HMV grant for the 2021–2022 fiscal year.

Alderman Trista Gunter moved to award the metal-building contract to Chase Erectors for $65,726.95; Alderman Tami Guerin seconded the motion. Mayor Davis called the roll; Aldermen Jarrett Iorg, Tami Guerin, Trista Gunter and Jack Reynolds voted Aye and the motion passed 4–0.

The Board then considered authorization to sign the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) HMV grant for fiscal year 2021–2022. Alderman Guerin moved to approve signing the grant authorization; Alderman Iorg seconded. The roll call vote was 4–0 in favor.

Both votes were routine, unanimous approvals in the emergency session; the meeting adjourned at 4:49 p.m.
