Presenter announces CADC opens 2026 Summer LIHEAP, mass intake days in five counties

The Central Arkansas Development Council (CADC) opened its 2026 Summer Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, commonly known as LIHEAP, the presenter said today. CADC is staging mass intake days this week to enroll eligible residents for help with home energy costs.

LIHEAP provides assistance to eligible households to help cover home energy expenses, the presenter said, and CADC is hosting concentrated sign-up events across five counties. Miller County is holding the mass intake event today. Pulaski County’s mass intake day is set for this Friday at the state fairgrounds in Little Rock.

Residents must apply in the county where they live, the presenter said. For those who cannot attend their county’s mass intake day, regular local intake sites will open on July 13 to accept applications. The presenter did not specify application hours, required documents, or a complete list of the five counties.
