Little Rock police and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office are investigating multiple deaths after a weekend that included two fatal shootings and the recovery of a body from the Arkansas River.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m., officers responding to Asher Avenue and Fair Park found an adult man and a juvenile with gunshot wounds; police said the adult died at the scene despite life-saving efforts and the juvenile was taken to a local hospital and remains in critical condition. Authorities asked anyone with information to contact Little Rock homicide detectives.
Separately, homicide detectives said they responded to a shooting just before 9 p.m. on West 26th Street after a dispatch at 8:48 p.m.; responders found an adult male who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. Little Rock Fire Department rescue crews attempted life-saving measures.
Pulaski County Sheriff's Office investigators reported that a body was discovered Saturday evening in the Arkansas River near the bridge connecting Little Rock and North Little Rock. Multiple agencies responded and recovered the body; investigators have not released the person's identity or the cause of death and urged anyone with information to come forward.
