Palmer committee reviews midyear budget snapshot showing majority of budgets under 80% spent

The Palmer School Committee reviewed the district finance report during the Jan. 21 meeting. The report showed year‑to‑date spending and encumbrances but recorded no motions to change budget allocations.

The finance snapshot in the meeting packet showed districtwide spending of $4,983,451 of an adopted $6,559,633 budget (76%), including $3,061,183 in encumbrances. Old Mill Pond (OMP) was shown at $2,135,859 of $6,002,598 (35.6%) with $24,941 encumbered; Palmer High School (PHS) showed $2,347,578 of $6,231,861 (37.7%) with $133,536 encumbrances.
